Administrator: editor accounts
Assign a unique password of at least 12 characters to each editor. Resetting a password signs that editor out.
Sign in to add an event. Viewing the calendar and the rest of the site requires no sign-in.
Administrator: Google invitation sender
Organizer: svfraforms@gmail.com. Connecting sends no invitations. Future event saves will send invitations and updates to that event's selected recipients.
- Open Google Apps Script while signed in as svfraforms@gmail.com. Create a project named SVFD Fire Prevention Invitations.
- Replace the contents of Code.gs with the copied code and save.
- Next to Services, select +, add Google Calendar API (v3).
- Choose setupSender from the function dropdown and click Run. Review and approve Google's calendar access request. The execution log displays a connection key. Keep it private and enter it in the form below.
- Select Deploy → New deployment → Web app. Set Execute as: Me (svfraforms@gmail.com) and Who has access: Anyone, then deploy. The connection key protects calendar requests; Google authorization remains with the sender account.
- Copy the Web app URL ending in /exec into the form below. Enter the connection key and select Test and enable invitations.
Selected recipients need a valid event date, start time, and end time. Incomplete events still save, but invitations wait until you add those times and save again. Google sends meeting notices; recipients may need to accept them in Outlook.
